I can’t go to her windows Cupid follows he wants me to use her curtains as a bandage for the wound he says his arrows ‘will build a ladder’ in my heart
he won’t stop Cupid he’s reaching over his shoulder for a twig he calls an arrow he wounded me the other day he knows he almost got me
he leans against a butterfly ‘you hang out with leprechauns don’t you?!’ I shout he just smiles, it’s all a joke to him
when Cupid comes to the house I shoot bullets at him his little wings his hard to hit I say ‘get out of here, you’re not tricking me again’
