she risesputs on my loveas an undergarmentto wear
when you read my poemI play with your hair I bow my headinto your heart and I lookfor what you feel
how her hair can make morning a sad contentment
go to read her see if there are flowers take from her the blanket of a poem
windows fill up with the saddest sunlight the day has brought its weary heart and finds a place to sit with me
make leaves scatter them give them to Kerry perhaps Julie, Heather give them to Rosemary whose scarf I let go out a car window releasing me from love
I show her the shelter I made of her inside myself she could see the sky if she would lay down in my heart
